Geely Reportedly Considering US Market Entry, ZEEKR and Lynk & Co Brands Likely First Choices

Geely Holding is reportedly considering an expansion into the US market, with brands such as ZEEKR and Lynk & Co likely being the first choices. As of the time of writing, Geely Holding has not commented on the report.

According to the report, Ash Sutcliffe, Global Director of Communications at Geely Holding, stated in an interview at CES that the company is likely to make an announcement regarding its US expansion plans within the next 24 to 36 months. He suggested that brands like ZEEKR and Lynk & Co could be well-suited for the American market.

Sutcliffe indicated that the primary questions currently are when to enter the US and which specific regions to target. Geely has not yet begun searching for a production base in the United States but hinted that Volvo's assembly plant in South Carolina could be an ideal location.
