Global Mangrove Hub and APFNet Sign Agreement to Boost Conservation Efforts

Shenzhen, China, July 28 - The International Mangrove Center and the Asia-Pacific Network for Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation (APFNet) have officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in Shenzhen, China, solidifying their commitment to collaborative action.

Under the terms of the MOU, both organizations will enhance cooperation in areas such as policy dialogue, demonstration projects, capacity building, information sharing, and expanding partnerships. The collaboration aims to jointly advance the protection and restoration of mangrove forests, consistently improve their quality and efficiency, and fully leverage the diverse ecological functions of mangrove ecosystems.

APFNet is a non-profit international organization dedicated to promoting forest restoration and sustainable management across the Asia-Pacific region. The International Mangrove Center is the first intergovernmental international organization of its kind, established specifically for mangrove conservation globally. The signing of this MOU will help both parties leverage their respective strengths to collectively support economies in the Asia-Pacific region in accelerating mangrove protection and restoration processes. This development is part of a broader initiative by SINA Corp's ESG Rating Center, which offers 14 ESG-related services including information, reports, training, and consulting to aid listed companies in spreading ESG concepts and enhancing their sustainable development performance.
