Construction of World's First Ultra-High Voltage Project Dedicated to Nuclear Power Transmission in Full Swing in Haiyang, Shandong

Deep News06-24 09:11

The world's first ultra-high voltage transmission project specifically designed for nuclear power output is currently undergoing rapid construction. This project, the 1000-kilovolt Haiyang Xin'an Nuclear Power Transmission Ultra-High Voltage Project, marks China's inaugural ultra-high voltage line involving maritime construction. It originates in Xin'an Town, Haiyang City, Shandong Province, and terminates in Tuanwang Town, Laiyang City, spanning a total length of 80.361 kilometers and being constructed as a double-circuit line.

Upon completion, it will connect with the 1000-kilovolt Yanwei Ultra-High Voltage Project to integrate into the Shandong power grid. This integration will establish the nation's first provincial-level ultra-high voltage "double-ring network" structure. This development is set to create essential prerequisites for the power transmission from the Jiaodong Peninsula's nuclear power and offshore new energy bases.

This initiative holds substantial importance for further enhancing Shandong's ultra-high voltage AC grid, strengthening its resilience against severe faults, optimizing provincial resource allocation, improving the overall level of power supply across the province, and supporting energy transition and green development efforts.
