China Places 14 EU Entities on Export Control List in Response to Sanctions

Deep News07-24

On July 24, 2026, a spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce answered a reporter's question regarding the release of a new export control list.

Reporter: What is the rationale behind the Ministry's release of this control list?

Spokesperson: On the evening of July 23, Beijing time, the European Union officially released its 21st round of sanctions against Russia, listing 14 companies from mainland China and Hong Kong. To safeguard national security and interests, fulfill international obligations such as non-proliferation, and in response to this egregious action by the EU, China has decided to add 14 EU entities, including Rafat Group, to its export control list. This decision is based on the relevant provisions of the Export Control Law of the People's Republic of China and the Regulations on the Export Control of Dual-Use Items of the People's Republic of China. Export operators are now prohibited from supplying dual-use items to these entities, and foreign organizations and individuals are also prohibited from transferring or providing dual-use items originating from the People's Republic of China to these entities.
