Pork Prices Rise 1.1% Nationwide on May 11, Averaging 14.99 Yuan per Kilogram

According to monitoring data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "200 Index of Agricultural Product Wholesale Prices" stood at 115.48 on May 11, a decrease of 0.35 points from the previous Saturday. The wholesale price index for "basket of goods" products was 115.96, down 0.40 points from last Saturday.

As of 14:00 today, the national average wholesale price for pork in agricultural product markets was 14.99 yuan per kilogram, an increase of 1.1% compared to last Saturday. Beef was priced at 66.52 yuan per kilogram, up 0.8%; mutton was 64.36 yuan per kilogram, down 0.5%; eggs were 8.95 yuan per kilogram, up 1.5%; and dressed chicken was 16.95 yuan per kilogram, up 0.6%.

The average price for 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.24 yuan per kilogram, a decrease of 0.2% from last Saturday. The average price for six key monitored fruits was 7.63 yuan per kilogram, down 0.4%.

For aquatic products, crucian carp was priced at 20.03 yuan per kilogram, down 1.4%; carp was 14.91 yuan per kilogram, down 0.5%; silver carp was 10.33 yuan per kilogram, up 2.2%; and large hairtail was 41.32 yuan per kilogram, down 0.9%.

Among the 46 key varieties monitored in domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets today, the top five price increases compared to last Saturday were onions, cabbage, lettuce, leeks, and bighead carp, with increases of 4.1%, 3.4%, 2.8%, 2.2%, and 2.2%, respectively. The top five price decreases were pineapple, white radish, cowpea, Chinese cabbage, and garlic, with decreases of 4.3%, 3.5%, 3.3%, 2.7%, and 2.5%, respectively.
