JPMorgan and Citi Bankers Set to Join Hong Kong Exchange's Listing Committee

Individuals with knowledge of the matter have revealed that bankers from JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup are poised to become members of the committee at Hong Kong Exchange & Clearing Ltd. (HKEX) responsible for approving initial public offerings.

According to these sources, during the most recent annual rotation, HKEX appointed Becky Pang, head of Hong Kong ECM and corporate finance at JPMorgan Chase, and Alexander Schrantz, a managing director at Citigroup, to its listing committee. The individuals requested anonymity as the information is not yet public.

The sources further indicated that the two new members will replace Stephen Clark from HSBC and Terence Keyes from Morgan Stanley, who are stepping down after completing six-year terms. It is also noted that Alex Choi, who retired in 2024, is expected to join the committee as well.
