China expressed serious concern on Friday regarding reports that Japanese right-wing forces are extensively using artificial intelligence to distort the history of Japan's invasion of China, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a regular press conference.
After the war, Japanese right-wing forces not only failed to deeply reflect on the history of the invasion of China, but have also deliberately worked to distort the truth and downplay historical crimes, seriously misleading Japanese society, especially the younger generation, Mao said.
Now, these right-wing forces are using new technology to "poison" public opinion, while simultaneously pushing for Japan's "remilitarization," making the situation even more severe and dangerous, she added.
This is a blatant challenge to international justice, truth, and the post-war international order, threatening regional peace and stability, Mao said. The international community must remain highly vigilant and resolutely oppose such actions, she added.
