Concurrently, Iran criticized the United States for frequently shifting its stance, complicating negotiations, and accused the U.S. of violating ceasefire agreements through "acts of aggression" against Iran.
These developments triggered a sharp rise in the crude oil market, with international oil prices surging over 3% during the day.

Israeli Prime Minister Orders Airstrikes on Beirut.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant issued a statement on June 1st, citing repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah, and ordered the Israeli military to conduct airstrikes on the Dahieh area of Beirut, Lebanon's capital.
Reports indicated that U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken had been in contact with Lebanese and Israeli officials over the preceding 48 hours in an attempt to advance a "new ceasefire initiative."
Should this initiative fail, the U.S. would reportedly permit Israel to "take action" against Hezbollah targets in Beirut.
Israeli media commentary suggested that recent actions by Israel essentially marked the failure of the ceasefire announced on April 17th between Israel and Lebanon.
Additionally, the Israeli military reported that one soldier was killed and three others wounded by an explosive drone in southern Lebanon on June 1st.
Lebanese health ministry data from late May indicated that Israeli attacks on Lebanon since the resumption of hostilities on March 2nd had resulted in 3,371 deaths and 10,129 injuries.

U.S. "Acts of Aggression" Against Iran Violate Ceasefire Agreement.
The shifting Middle East situation is seen by markets as an intensification of the U.S.-Iran rivalry.
An advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader stated that the core of the Middle East situation revolves around two elements: land and energy.
He claimed Israel aims to seize territory, while the U.S. seeks to plunder oil, forming the "common interest" behind U.S.-Israeli collusion, with both nations believing that toppling Iran is necessary to establish a new order in the region.
Separately, the Speaker of Iran's Parliament criticized the U.S. for not adhering to ceasefire agreements, citing the U.S. naval blockade against Iran and Israel's escalating war crimes in Lebanon as clear proof.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman: A Major Challenge in Negotiations with the U.S. is Its Frequently Changing Stance.
On June 1st, an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that a fundamental difficulty in negotiations with the United States is its frequently changing and contradictory positions.
Regarding the progress of Iran-U.S. talks, he noted that negotiations are conducted in an environment of mutual distrust and proceed amidst suspicion.
He added that the talks themselves are not a sign of mutual trust, and contradictory statements from the other side, along with inconsistent media propaganda, would only prolong the negotiation process.
The spokesperson also stated that the main reason for failing to reach an agreement is Israel and its attacks on Lebanon, which are attempts to prevent improvement in the region's situation.
The United States also bears responsibility, and it should be held accountable for any actions occurring in the region.
He warned that the continued violation of the Lebanon-Israel ceasefire agreement would have consequences affecting not only the region but the entire world.
On the nuclear issue, the spokesperson emphasized that no negotiations are currently taking place regarding nuclear matters, and the focus at this stage is on ending the war.
Earlier on June 1st, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that following a U.S. "act of aggression" against an Iranian communications tower, it had struck the "source of aggression," a U.S. airbase, and "destroyed the intended target."
Kuwait stated on the same day that its air defense systems had intercepted "hostile" missiles and drones.
