Kanzhun Allocates RMB 600 Million to Low-Risk Wealth Management Products at China Merchants and Minsheng Banks

Bulletin Express10-23

Kanzhun Limited (BOSS Zhipin-W) disclosed that the group committed a combined RMB 600.00 million to eight low-risk wealth management products during December 2025 and January 2026, reinforcing its treasury-management strategy of enhancing returns on surplus cash.

Four products were purchased from China Merchants Bank and four from China Minsheng Bank. Each bank received RMB 300.00 million. Individual subscriptions ranged from RMB 50.00 million to RMB 100.00 million, with annualised yields set between 1.00% and 2.50%. Maturities span from early January 2026 to mid-February 2027; the majority fall within a six- to eight-month horizon, aligning with the company’s preference for short-tenor instruments.

All products carry internal risk ratings of “low” or “medium-low.” Funding came entirely from the company’s internal resources, and management stated that the placements would not impair operating liquidity.

Under Hong Kong Listing Rules, none of the individual subscriptions exceeded the 5% asset ratio threshold for a discloseable transaction. However, when aggregated with existing positions from each counterparty bank, the ratios temporarily moved above 5%, triggering disclosure requirements under Rule 14.22. Kanzhun acknowledged that the related announcement should have been made at the time of each purchase and attributed the delay to an “inadvertent” miscalculation that netted off soon-to-mature holdings. The company emphasized that the oversight did not confer any undue benefit and that ratios fell back below 5% by each month-end following scheduled redemptions.

To prevent recurrence, Kanzhun has strengthened its controls by introducing multi-departmental verification of size-test calculations, instituting quarterly retrospective reviews of all investment positions, and expanding staff training on Chapter 14 compliance protocols.

Kanzhun, the operator of the BOSS Zhipin online recruitment platform, reported that its investment decisions were based on market rates, expected returns, and available cash. Both China Merchants Bank and China Minsheng Bank are listed PRC commercial banks and, according to Kanzhun, are independent third parties with no connected-person relationship to the company.
