The Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has recently announced the first batch of provincial-level innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for 2026, with 183 companies from Xingtai City being selected. This brings the total number of such enterprises nurtured in the city to 2,045.
According to reports, the newly selected enterprises are predominantly distributed across 44 county-level characteristic industrial clusters in Xingtai. Companies from key clusters, including the bicycle and baby carriage industry in Guangzong County, the bearing industry in Linxi County, the cable industry in Ningjin County, and the glass industry in Shahe City, have been heavily represented. This trend reflects the clear direction of Xingtai's SMEs, which are leveraging local industrial strengths to advance towards specialization and innovation.
In recent years, the Xingtai Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology has intensified its efforts to cultivate SMEs, implementing a tiered gradient cultivation system. This system is structured as a "Innovative SME - Specialized and New SME - Specialized and New 'Little Giant' SME" development path. By establishing a dynamic cultivation database and coordinating the allocation of service resources to enterprises, industrial parks, and clusters, the bureau provides comprehensive support to innovative SMEs.
Looking ahead, the bureau plans to strengthen targeted, tiered guidance. The focus will be on core needs such as digital empowerment, technological breakthroughs, and industrial diagnostics, to help accelerate the transition of innovative SMEs onto the specialized and new development track.
