On March 29th, Gansu Agricultural University held the Spring Job Fair for the 2026 graduating class of the Gansu Provincial Agriculture and Forestry Alliance institutions (disciplines and majors), which also included a special recruitment event under the "Hongzhi Navigation Assistance Plan." The fair attracted participation from over 310 high-quality enterprises and institutions from more than 20 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across China. These employers offered in excess of 3,000 different positions, with a total demand for approximately 13,000 new hires. Guo Jia, a student majoring in Data Science and Big Data Technology in the Class of 2022 at the university's College of Information Technology, successfully secured a job offer after an on-site interview. Guo attributed her success to the flexible application of her knowledge and proactive adaptation to job requirements, noting that her solid coursework enabled her to handle the interview with confidence. Senior leadership from Gansu Agricultural University visited the fair to engage with employer representatives, inquiring about recruitment needs, position structures, and feedback on the university's talent development programs. They actively promoted graduates and encouraged them to seize opportunities for early and high-quality employment. A dedicated "AI-Enabled Employment" zone was a highlight of the event. This area utilized digital intelligence tools such as AI consultation, AI resume building, AI job matching, and AI mock interviews to provide a full-chain smart service covering resume analysis, position matching, targeted推送, and interview simulation. Furthermore, the event integrated a "live streaming for jobs" activity. Deans from the College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Science, College of Management, and College of Plant Protection participated in live streams to promote graduates online, significantly expanding the reach and effectiveness of the employment services. Zhang Hui, a teacher from the College of Animal Science and Technology, provided guidance to students at the fair. He noted that the job fair catered not only to majors with broad employment prospects, such as Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine, but also covered other, more niche fields like Aquaculture. This diversity provided students from various disciplines with ample choices and greater主动权 in their career selection process.
