Industrial Ecosystem Optimization: The Space "Circle of Friends" Is Growing Larger
The 2026 Space Information and Satellite Internet Innovation Development Conference took "Space as Foundation, Creating a New Star Journey" as its theme, and completed on-site industry-university-research cooperation, standardization co-construction consensus, and centralized signing of space information industry chain projects. Among them, the centralized signing of space information industry chain projects was particularly noteworthy. Ma Yangbiao, deputy director of the Xiong'an New Area Science Park Management Committee and general manager of Xiong'an Guochuang Center Technology Co., Ltd., said that this batch of signed projects all revolve around satellite internet and satellite manufacturing, including platform-type projects mainly aimed at completing satellite testing and other platform functions, as well as payload enterprises signing contracts, and cooperation signings oriented toward the application end of the ecosystem chain. He believes that from these projects, it can be seen that the space information and satellite internet industry ecosystem and "circle of friends" of Xiong'an New Area are growing larger.
The Space Information and Satellite Internet Innovation Development Conference has been held in Xiong'an for three consecutive years. Ma Yangbiao has felt the growing popularity. "Last year the venue was packed with no empty seats; this year even the aisles were full of people, and the number of exhibiting companies has increased significantly," he said.
Ma Yangbiao said that Xiong'an New Area will further retain the projects, talent, and enterprises brought by the conference in the new area, promoting Xiong'an to form a hundred-billion-level space information and satellite internet industry. The China Space Information and Satellite Internet Innovation Alliance was the organizer of this conference. Speaking of the alliance's work this year, Ding Jinjun, vice chairman and secretary-general of the alliance, summarized it as "consolidating foundations and accelerating growth." In November 2024, the China Space Information and Satellite Internet Innovation Alliance was unveiled and established in Xiong'an. It has now absorbed 410 members, an increase of 288 members from its initial period, covering the entire industry chain including satellite manufacturing, communication operations, and terminal equipment, becoming an important platform for promoting the coordinated development of the space information and satellite internet industry.
To further consolidate industry consensus and gather development momentum, this year's conference released the 2026 Space Information and Satellite Internet Industry Development Report, the Top Ten Innovation Scenarios for Deep Application of Satellite Internet and BeiDou, and the Top Ten Scientific and Technological Innovation Advances in Space Information and Satellite Internet, and issued an initiative for space-based integrated sensing, communication, computing, and intelligence sharing and co-creation of satellite internet application scenarios. "Organizational construction is the foundation," Ding Jinjun said. This year, the alliance visited more than 30 member enterprises. In the first half of the year, a total of 35 key industry enterprises and 86 industry leaders and backbone figures expressed intention to join, and the alliance's "circle of friends" is growing larger.
Scientific and technological innovation is the alliance's core mission. Ding Jinjun introduced that the alliance has formulated the 2026 annual standardization work plan, organized the standards committee to complete the release of the first batch of the "Space Information and Satellite Internet Standards System," and clarified the first batch of proposed group standards; organized the 2026 annual space information special topic solicitation, selecting 18 excellent projects to promote project establishment. "We will continue to follow up on the conference's important releases, major signings, and cooperation consensus, promote the transformation and implementation of achievements, and help Xiong'an build a national-level space information industry innovation highland," Ding Jinjun said.
Exhibition Hall Directly Connects to Space: Innovation Achievements Tangible and Accessible
As an important part of the conference, the Space Information Innovation Achievements Exhibition was held concurrently. In the exhibition area, more than a hundred units in the space information and satellite internet field exhibited, with four major exhibition zones set up: space infrastructure and technology achievements, space application achievements, space intelligent manufacturing achievements, and space cluster development achievements, presenting a complete picture of China's space information industry from foundation construction, technological breakthroughs, scenario implementation, and capacity support to regional cluster development.
Walking into the exhibition area, a satellite model with a 17-meter-long solar wing spread out was surrounded by visitors taking photos. This is the model of the first "Xiong'an-made" satellite — "Xiong'an No. 1" (Honghu 03 satellite) — brought by Blue Arrow Hongqing (Xiong'an) Space Technology Co., Ltd. "This model is exactly the same size as the 'Xiong'an No. 1' launched into space," said Shi Yaozhong, general manager of Blue Arrow Hongqing (Xiong'an) Space Technology Co., Ltd., standing beside the model and introducing it to visitors. On the large screen of the intelligent operation and management system on one side of the model, the in-orbit position and operation information of "Xiong'an No. 1" are displayed in real time. When the satellite passes over China, enters the visible range of domestic tracking and control stations, and establishes a tracking and control link, visitors can see the real satellite position changes far in space on this large screen. "The satellite 'flies over' the exhibition hall, and visitors directly connect to space in Xiong'an," Shi Yaozhong said. The originally highly professional satellite, orbit, and tracking and control data are transformed here into a spatial experience that ordinary visitors can directly perceive.
In the space infrastructure and technology achievements exhibition zone, the construction achievements of communication, navigation, and remote sensing constellations are laid out one by one. Key technological breakthrough achievements such as launch vehicle recovery, large-scale BeiDou applications, intelligent remote sensing systems, laser key payloads, and integrated application terminals are concentrated on display, showcasing the hardware foundation and technological roots of independent innovation in the space information field.
On one side, the space application achievements exhibition zone turns its gaze toward the deep integration of technology and industry scenarios: disaster monitoring and early warning, emergency communication support, remote construction operations, polar scientific research and ocean surveys, marine operations and transportation, space-based data transmission, and other key areas. A batch of benchmark application achievements that can be implemented, replicated, and scaled up intuitively present the implementation results of space technology moving from scientific research innovation to practical application.
Moving to the space intelligent manufacturing achievements exhibition zone, key links such as satellite intelligent manufacturing, commercial rockets and launch tracking and control, laser terminals, spaceborne phased array antennas, spaceborne routing and baseband processing, space power supplies, spaceborne components, and application terminals are displayed one by one, concentrating on the latest achievements of the entire satellite internet industry chain and presenting the supply chain's high-quality, low-cost, and large-volume supply capacity.
The space cluster development achievements exhibition zone systematically displays the space industry development models, carrier supply, enterprise clustering, and policy support achievements of Hebei Province and Xiong'an New Area, presenting differentiated industrial layouts across regions and showing the province's space information industry development pattern led by Xiong'an with multi-point support from Shijiazhuang, Zhangjiakou, and other locations.
As an exchange platform integrating achievement transformation, supply-demand matching, and collaborative innovation, the Space Information Innovation Achievements Exhibition allows more than a hundred exhibiting units to appear on the same stage in Xiong'an, and also allows technology, products, and scenario needs to collide face-to-face in the exhibition area, promoting more cooperation intentions to take root and helping Xiong'an build a national-level space information industry innovation highland and industrial cluster demonstration zone.
Cutting-Edge Technology Implementation: Industry Partners "Join Hands"
The continuous implementation of cutting-edge technology has allowed the public to see the vigorous momentum of the space information industry's development, and has also allowed industry partners to continuously "join hands" in the exhibition area. "During the conference, many manufacturers approached us for business negotiations. Currently, more than 10 have expressed willingness to cooperate in business or land in Xiong'an New Area," Shi Yaozhong said.
In the space information innovation achievements exhibition zone, in front of the booth of Tianjin Hongyi Optical Technology Co., Ltd., several laser communication terminals of different configurations attracted many visitors to stop. "Our products are mainly spaceborne laser communication terminals, and different configurations correspond to different application scenarios," said Lu Ri, marketing manager of the company, introducing to customers. Founded in 2021, Tianjin Hongyi is a full-link system solution provider dedicated to space laser communication products and services. Through independent research and development and system integration, it builds a faster and more reliable space-based information network, providing customers with end-to-end support from core components to in-orbit services.
In the space information innovation achievements exhibition zone, in front of the booth of Bailuwei Technology (Hebei Xiong'an) Co., Ltd., several chips the size of fingernails were placed in a prominent position. "This is our flagship chip product, supporting integrated space-air-ground-sea functions and capable of connecting to terrestrial cellular networks and 4G/5G networks," introduced Tan Yuanchun, head of the company. Bailuwei is headquartered in Hangzhou and landed in the Zhongguancun Science Park in Xiong'an New Area in August 2024. Currently, based on self-developed chips, the company has won two major orders in Xiong'an New Area.
The space information and satellite internet industry is one of the strategic emerging industries that Xiong'an focuses on布局. It has now gathered more than 60 upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain. In the exhibition area set up for this conference, more than a hundred exhibiting units appeared on the same stage, from satellite intelligent manufacturing and laser communication terminals to spaceborne chips and application terminals. Upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain communicated face-to-face and connected point-to-point. Many enterprises negotiated cooperation on site. From exhibition booths to signing tables, from technical exchanges to project matchmaking, the alliance builds the stage and enterprises perform, upstream and downstream communication channels are further smoothed, and innovation factors are accelerating their gathering in Xiong'an.
