Expert Opinion: Policy Pressures Currency, Yen May Set New Low Against Dollar

An expert from RSM Consulting, Joe Brusuelas, indicated on the 17th that the Japanese yen is highly likely to continue weakening, potentially breaching the 170 yen per US dollar level, before the Japanese government's economic stimulus measures begin to show results and help stabilize and reverse the currency's decline.

Brusuelas stated that the series of economic policies implemented by the Japanese government are the root cause of the yen's fall to its lowest point in nearly four decades.
