Bulletin Express06-10 20:45

On 9 June 2026, Tianqi Lithium Corporation announced a localized fire incident at Talison Lithium Pty Ltd’s Chemical-Grade Lithium Concentrate Plant No.3 in Australia. The fire broke out during a maintenance shutdown, was rapidly extinguished and caused no injuries. All on-site personnel were safely evacuated.

Preliminary checks indicate damage to certain equipment within the affected area, while the plant’s major equipment and production lines remain unaffected. Talison has activated emergency response protocols and begun a detailed investigation to quantify losses and outline remediation work.

Plant No.3 is in the early stages of production ramp-up. Construction of its expansion project was completed on 18 December 2025, and the first batch of qualified chemical-grade lithium concentrate was produced on 30 January 2026. Tianqi Lithium cautions that the fire may delay the ramp-up schedule; the precise impact will be confirmed after further assessment.

Operations at Talison’s other lithium concentrate facilities continue without interruption. Tianqi Lithium stated it will closely monitor developments and comply with all disclosure obligations. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities.
