On May 15, CHINAGOLDINTL announced its first-quarter 2026 results. Sales revenue increased by 66% to USD 453.2 million, up from USD 273.1 million in the same period of 2025. Mine operating profit surged by USD 175.1 million to USD 292.8 million, compared to USD 117.7 million in Q1 2025. Net profit reached USD 236.4 million, an increase of USD 150.4 million from USD 86.0 million in the prior-year period, marking the company's first-ever quarterly profit exceeding USD 200 million. Operating cash flow also rose to USD 268.7 million from USD 143.5 million in the first quarter of 2025.
For Q1 2026, the company's total gold production decreased by 22% to 34,820 ounces from 44,797 ounces in Q1 2025. Total copper production saw a slight increase to 37.50 million pounds (approximately 17,030 tonnes) from 37.30 million pounds (approximately 16,911 tonnes) in the same period last year.
