Want Want China Executes HKD 9.40 Million Share Buyback; 20.10 Million Shares Repurchased Since Mandate

Want Want China Holdings Ltd. (Want Want China) disclosed that it repurchased 3.10 million ordinary shares on 3 September 2026 via on-exchange transactions at prices between HKD 2.995 and HKD 3.05 per share. The transaction cost HKD 9.40 million and all repurchased shares are earmarked for cancellation.

Including this latest transaction, the company has acquired 20.10 million shares under the repurchase mandate granted on 25 August 2026, equivalent to 0.17% of the issued share capital at the time of authorisation. From 26 August to 3 September, detailed daily filings show seven repurchase tranches totaling 16.90 million shares—about 0.14% of outstanding stock—at a volume-weighted average cost of roughly HKD 52.76 million and an average price of HKD 3.12 per share.

Want Want China’s issued share count remains at 11.73 billion shares as of 3 September 2026, as the repurchased shares await formal cancellation. Under Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or transferring any treasury shares until 3 October 2026.
