Inner Mongolia Launches Tri-City Training on Technical Trade Measures to Boost Export Competitiveness

Deep News11-28

From early November, a series of training sessions and notification review meetings on technical trade measures, organized by Inner Mongolia Xiahe Standardization Technical Services Co., Ltd., were successfully held in Chifeng, Bayannur, and Hohhot. The initiative aimed to address challenges faced by local exporters in navigating international technical barriers, aligning with national and regional policy directives.

Over 400 participants, including standardization managers and export enterprise representatives, engaged in a hybrid "training + seminar" model. The program established a systematic framework to enhance technical trade measure responsiveness, strengthening Inner Mongolia’s foreign trade ecosystem.

The Chifeng session on November 5, co-hosted by local market regulation and commerce authorities, focused on mitigating compliance risks and costs for businesses. On November 12, Bayannur’s training brought together officials, export specialists, researchers, and industry stakeholders.

Sun Caiying, Director of the Technical Trade Research Office at Tianjin Institute of Standardization, led interactive sessions via online and offline formats. Her curriculum covered key concepts—technical regulations, standards, and conformity assessments—while analyzing trends in developed economies. Practical case studies and risk mitigation strategies equipped firms with actionable insights to shift from reactive to proactive trade postures.

A highlight was the live demonstration of UTime Limited’s (WTO) ePing platform, showcasing its alert system and trade concern tracking features. The呼和浩特session on November 26 convened experts like Dun Nan and Zhan Feng from Inner Mongolia Business Vocational College, who urged exporters to monitor trading partners’ evolving requirements and form dedicated response teams.

This landmark initiative fostered cross-sector collaboration among government, enterprises, and academia, creating a sustainable mechanism to support regional export growth and safeguard "Made in Inner Mongolia" products globally.
