Q Technology (01478) announced that it was informed by Mr. He Ningning, its executive director and chairman of the board, that as a seller, on October 7, October 8, October 9, October 13 and October 14, 2026 (five days in total), he separately entered into several European put option contracts with independent third parties (buyers), involving a total of 5.58864 million company shares, with an exercise price per share ranging from HK$4.7998 to HK$4.9539.
Under these contracts, a "European put option" means the buyer has the right, but not the obligation, to sell a specified number of shares to the seller at the agreed exercise price on the expiry date; while Mr. He, as the seller, bears the responsibility to purchase the relevant shares at the agreed exercise price when the buyer exercises the option.
Whether these options are exercised depends on whether the last traded price per share quoted on the Stock Exchange at the close of business on the expiry date of each contract is lower than the corresponding exercise price. Therefore, whether these options will ultimately be exercised remains uncertain.
Mr. He Ningning stated that he entered into these contracts based on his confidence in the company's long-term development prospects. However, these options may or may not be exercised, and shareholders and potential investors are urged to exercise caution when dealing in the company's securities.
