The next fuel price adjustment is scheduled for 24:00 on September 11 (next Friday), following the standard pricing mechanism for refined oil products. Half of the current pricing cycle has been completed, with statistics now showing a reversal from an early decline to an increase, as projected gains have already surpassed 0.15 yuan per liter, making another price rise highly likely this cycle.
The escalation of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East has heightened shipping risks in the Strait of Hormuz, rapidly boosting the risk premium in the crude oil market. This week saw significant gains in both international and domestic crude oil prices. By the fifth working day of the cycle, calculations indicate an expected increase of 160 yuan per ton for gasoline and 155 yuan per ton for diesel.
Converted to retail prices, this translates to a rise of 0.13 yuan per liter for 92-octane gasoline, 0.14 yuan per liter for 95-octane gasoline, and 0.13 yuan per liter for 0-diesel. Filling a 50-liter tank would cost approximately 6.5 to 7 yuan more.
