Shares of GEEKPLUS-W surged 6.70% during intraday trading on Friday, significantly outperforming the broader market.
The sharp rise was driven by positive catalysts across the humanoid robotics industry. Tesla's third-generation humanoid robot, Optimus V3, is expected to debut mid-year with formal production slated to begin between July and August 2026. Domestically, Unitree Robotics recently launched its R1 series dual-arm humanoid robot at a starting price of 26,900 yuan, marking its lowest-priced humanoid robot product to date.
Analysts at Wanlian Securities believe the humanoid robotics industry is currently at a pivotal dawn moment, transitioning from technological breakthroughs towards large-scale commercialization. A Morgan Stanley research report noted that China's investments and first-mover advantage in humanoid robotics could increase its share of global manufacturing, with Chinese ventures attracting 46% of global venture capital funding this year.
