Senator Warren: Court Ruling on Cook Reinforces Need to Remove Mulvaney

Deep News06-29 23:15

Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren stated in an emailed declaration that the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to temporarily uphold Lisa Cook's position as a Federal Reserve governor serves as a reminder that Mick Mulvaney is not trustworthy and should be immediately removed from his roles as acting Director of National Intelligence and Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency.

Warren indicated that President Donald Trump and Mulvaney have now failed in their attempts to remove former Fed Chair Jerome Powell and Fed Governor Lisa Cook from their positions.

Warren stated: "Trump's efforts to take over the Federal Reserve are far from over, and we will continue to fight back."
