The rules and requirements for the 2026 Fourth Guiyang-Guian Petrochina Company Limited (SHSE: 601857) Cup 100-Day "Zero Violation" Challenge were officially released on July 8th. The event also issued an initiative to drivers, encouraging them to drive courteously and responsibly.
The event is organized by the Guiyang Municipal Committee Propaganda Department, the Guiyang Spiritual Civilization Development Office, the Guiyang Cyberspace Administration, the Guiyang Transport Commission, and the Guiyang Public Security Bureau Traffic Management Detachment. It is hosted by the Guiyang Media Convergence Center and supported by the Guiyang Sales Branch of Petrochina Company Limited.
Registration for the challenge is scheduled from 10:00 on July 11th to 17:00 on July 15th. A daily quota of 2,000 spots will be made available, with 1,400 spots reserved for non-commercial vehicles and 600 for commercial vehicles each day. Registration will close once all spots are filled. The challenge period itself will run from 00:00 on July 16th to 24:00 on October 23rd.
Drivers who successfully register and then maintain a perfect driving record with no traffic violations for the entire 100-day period will be deemed successful challengers. Each successful participant will receive a 100-yuan electronic fuel voucher from Petrochina Company Limited, consisting of five 20-yuan vouchers with no minimum spend requirement. Additionally, 25 extra prizes will be awarded via an online lottery draw among the successful challengers, comprising first, second, and third-place awards.
Eligible vehicles for participation must be registered in Guizhou province, operate within the Guiyang-Guian area, be officially registered, and have valid compulsory traffic insurance. Each individual ID number can only be used to register one license plate. Vehicles must be in active use and not stationary; traffic authorities will conduct random checks, and any vehicle found to be non-compliant will be disqualified from the event.
Specific rules for commercial vehicles are as follows: each vehicle gets one spot, registered to one or two designated drivers. Once registration is submitted, the registered participant(s) cannot be changed, added, replaced, or have the vehicle category modified. If a commercial vehicle commits any traffic violation during the challenge period, it will be immediately deemed a failure, forfeiting all rewards and lottery eligibility. Commercial vehicles must operate normally on the road; traffic authorities will conduct dynamic checks via vehicle tracking data. Long-term parking or non-operation during the challenge will be considered invalid participation, resulting in disqualification.
The list of successfully registered drivers will be published on the official WeChat accounts of Civilized Guiyang, Guiyang Traffic Radio, and Know Guiyang. From July 11th to 15th, registered participants must present their ID card or driver's license at designated locations to collect the official event decal. Participating vehicles are required to display this "Petrochina Cup" decal for the entire 100 days, keeping it intact and undamaged. After the challenge concludes, participants can check their traffic violation records via the official traffic management platform. The city's traffic management department will verify the records of all registered challengers to generate the final list of winners. The 25 extra prize winners will then be randomly selected via an online draw from this list of successful challengers before awards are distributed.
The event organizers also extend an initiative to all drivers: strictly adhere to traffic laws and regulations; prioritize safety by driving cautiously and properly; and abandon bad driving habits to foster a culture of courteous and yielding driving on the roads.
