BOYAA Anticipates Approximately 85% to 90% Year-on-Year Increase in Adjusted Profit Attributable to Owners for Q1

Stock News05-11

BOYAA (00434) announced that due to a decline in Bitcoin prices during the first quarter of 2026, the group is expected to record a loss attributable to owners for the three months ended March 31, 2026. This expected loss represents an increase of approximately 110% to 120% compared to the loss attributable to owners of about HK$224 million for the same period in 2025. The primary reason for this increase is that the expected decrease in the fair value of the group's digital assets for Q1 2026 is greater than the decrease recorded in Q1 2025.

Excluding the impact of non-operational, one-off factors such as fair value changes in financial assets including digital assets and equity investment partnerships, the group anticipates recording a profit attributable to owners for the three months ended March 31, 2026. This adjusted profit is expected to increase by approximately 85% to 90% compared to the profit attributable to owners for the three-month period ended March 31, 2025, after adjusting for similar non-operational factors. The anticipated increase is mainly attributed to higher expected revenue from the group's online games business for the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025.
