On June 5th, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, who is currently visiting South Korea, announced that he has brought four new business initiatives from the company as a "surprise" for the country.
Huang made these remarks to the media after arriving at a dinner venue in Seoul's Hongdae area, where he was scheduled to dine with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin. He described the new ventures as "very large-scale businesses" and stated that "South Korea is going to be very busy."
Huang detailed the "four major businesses," which include NVIDIA's next-generation AI superchip platform "Vera Rubin," the "Vera" central processing unit (CPU), NVIDIA's first AI laptop series "RTX Spark," and the "Jetson Thor" edge AI computing platform designed for next-generation humanoid robots and physical AI.
Huang also mentioned that NVIDIA has already begun work on establishing a new AI technology center project in South Korea and is currently in the process of hiring Korean AI research engineers and robotics engineering personnel.
