NEWLINK TECH Abandons Planned Acquisition of HK Ant Global Investment

NEWLINK TECH (09600) has announced the termination of its proposed acquisition of HK Ant Global Investment Co., Limited, following the signing of a termination agreement on September 18, 2026, after market close.

The company, along with the target company, its shareholders Silicon Base Technology Limited and Ant Global Investment Co., Ltd, and beneficial owners Qu Zhaojuan and Yuan Xiaona, mutually agreed to discontinue the memorandum of understanding that was previously in place for the intended share purchase of the entire equity in the target company. This decision came after friendly consultations among all involved parties.

Under the terms of the termination agreement, none of the parties are required to pay compensation or bear any legal liability to any other party in connection with the discontinued memorandum or the ceased acquisition. Furthermore, the termination does not constitute any admission of breach, fault, or legal responsibility by any party involved.

The board of directors has assessed that the termination of the memorandum and the cessation of the acquisition will not have any material adverse impact on the group's financial condition or business operations. The board also confirmed that this decision aligns with the overall interests of the company and its shareholders.
