Shandong Province Unveils Brand Matrix for Robotics and Intelligent Equipment Sector

Deep News10:41

Shandong Province recently held an industry matching event for its robotics and intelligent equipment sector at the Blue Hall of Jinan Nanjiao Hotel.

At this provincial-level gathering themed "Smart Chain Qilu, Strengthening the Province through Equipment," Jinan City secured multiple "top provincial rankings" due to its solid industrial foundation and strong development momentum.

Jinan Smart Robotics Firms Account for Nearly Half of Provincial Total

During the event, the China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID) and the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology jointly released the Shandong Province Robotics and Intelligent Equipment Industry Brand Matrix Map.

This map comprehensively presents the industrial scale, regional layout, and representative enterprises across five major sectors in the province.

Within the smart robotics field, there are 82 enterprises and institutions across the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments, with Jinan hosting 40 of them, accounting for nearly 50%—in other words, nearly half of the province's key robotics enterprises and institutions are located in Jinan.

It is noteworthy that robots are currently evolving from "capable of seeing and acting" towards "capable of adapting, generalizing, and performing reliably over the long term."

Shandong's comprehensive industrial base serves as crucial support for the robotics industry's ascent—from January to May this year, the province's output of industrial robots increased by 77.8% year-on-year.

Two out of every five collaborative robots nationwide are "Made in Shandong."

Behind this brand matrix lies Shandong's full-category manufacturing and supporting capabilities across 41 major industrial categories, with the vast majority of core robotics components procurable and processable within the province.

As one of the core cities for the province's robotics industry, Jinan occupies a pivotal position within this industrial landscape.

First Batch of 26 Training Facilities Launched, Jinan Secures Over a Quarter

Also announced at the event was the list of the first batch of key embodied intelligent robot training facilities to be built in Shandong Province.

The 26 facilities span multiple cities across the province, with Jinan having 7 selected, accounting for 26.92% and ranking among the top in the province by number.

These 7 facilities in Jinan cover various types including comprehensive service-oriented, regional hub-oriented, vertical industry-oriented, and enterprise verification-oriented, forming a relatively complete layout:

There are 2 comprehensive service types: the "Qilu Intelligent Manufacturing Embodied Intelligent Robot Scenario Training Center" led by Shandong Development Science and Technology Investment Co., Ltd., and the "Inspur Shandong Embodied Intelligent Comprehensive Training Facility" led by Inspur Cloud Information Technology Co., Ltd.

There is 1 regional hub type: the "Jinan City Embodied Intelligent Data Training and Evaluation Center" led by Jinan Xiantou Investment Holding Group.

There is 1 vertical industry type: the "Jinan City Life Service Embodied Intelligent Robot Training Facility" led by Liyang Shenzhou Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.

There are 3 enterprise verification types: the "Jumang Domestic Robot Operating System Embodied Intelligent Training Facility" led by Shandong Alexander Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., the "Jinan Zhongde Dongliang Industrial Embodied Intelligent Robot Training Facility" led by Shandong Dongliang Technology Equipment Co., Ltd., and the "Leju (Jinan) Humanoid Robot Data Training Center" led by Jinan Xixing Human Resources Consulting Service Co., Ltd.

It is worth mentioning that the Leju (Jinan) Humanoid Robot Data Training Center has already commenced operations ahead of others.

Located in the Zhichuang Space Incubation Park in Rose Town, Pingyin County, the center's training hall covers an area of 4,000 square meters and is Jinan's first humanoid robot data training center.

The center is equipped with 45 humanoid robots featuring industry-leading embodied intelligent algorithms, covering eleven major training scenarios including automotive parts sorting, industrial logistics, commercial services, and home services.

The center has established a full-process data collection, labeling, and training system, with an annual effective data collection duration of nearly 70,000 hours, capable of producing over 3 million high-quality data sets per year.

The launch of this center not only fills an industry gap in Jinan's humanoid robot data production field but also, through the innovative practice of deploying cutting-edge technology infrastructure at the county level, provides a vivid footnote for Shandong's efforts to seize the high ground in the embodied intelligent industry.

Embodied intelligent robot training facilities are crucial infrastructure for promoting the high-quality development of the robotics industry.

Shandong is accelerating the construction of a "1+N+X" embodied intelligent training facility system characterized by "central coordination, regional linkage, and scenario implementation."

The concentrated release of this first batch of 26 facilities marks a substantive step forward in the construction of Shandong's embodied intelligent robot training facility system.

8 Projects Signed, Jinan Claims 5

The project signing segment was also notably "Jinan-heavy."

A total of 8 projects were signed on-site, with Jinan securing 5, accounting for 62.5%.

The signed projects cover two major categories: industrial cooperation and financial support, including the signing of public service projects such as an intelligent robot transmission system testing center, and strategic cooperation agreements for regional landing projects of leading enterprises like UBTech and Guanglun Intelligence.

UBTech is one of the benchmark enterprises in Jinan's robotics industry.

In early 2024, UBTech developed Shandong Province's first humanoid robot, "Xingzhe Taishan," in just two months, setting a record for development speed in the industry and filling a provincial gap.

With a development target of 1,000 units shipped (including quadrupedal, wheel-legged robotic dogs, and humanoid robots) by 2026, Jinan's humanoid robots are accelerating their pace.
