Meitu (01357.HK) announced on the evening of July 24 that a new version of its AI Agent, RoboNeo, has been released. The update introduces a professional-grade 3D Director Console, further advancing the production of AI-generated short films toward a more professional workflow.
According to the company, this new feature allows creators to set up scenes, position characters, arrange props, and design camera angles within a 3D space without relying solely on text prompts. This enables a creative process that more closely mirrors the work of a real film director. Additionally, the function supports more efficient post-production, including subtitle removal, image quality enhancement, lighting adjustment, and background optimization. This reduces the computational waste caused by repeatedly regenerating entire videos for minor local changes.
Beyond the 3D Director Console, RoboNeo has also introduced several capabilities tailored for AI short film creation, including a project asset library, a full-link workflow, and upgraded script and storyboard generation. These tools help move AI short film production from a "prompt-dependent" approach toward a more "controllable creative" process.
