USA Rare Earth Inc. (USAR) saw its shares plummet 5.12% during intraday trading on Monday, following the release of its fourth-quarter financial results.
The decline comes as the company reported an adjusted net loss of $0.19 per diluted share for the quarter, a significant widening from a loss of $0.15 per share in the same period last year. More critically, the result missed the analyst consensus estimate of a $0.06 loss by a wide margin. Quarterly revenue was reported at $1.6 million.
The earnings miss appears to have driven investor selling, overshadowing the company's positive outlook which includes an expectation to sign definitive agreements for $1.6 billion in U.S. government funding in April 2026.
