NetEase Music Cancels 7.63 Million Treasury Shares, Trimming Outstanding Capital by 3.63%

NetEase Music (NetEase Cloud Music Inc.) reported that 7.63 million previously repurchased shares were cancelled on 12 June 2026.

Between 9 September 2024 and 29 May 2026, the company bought back an aggregate 7,631,350 shares on the Hong Kong market under the 2024 and 2025 general repurchase mandates approved at the annual general meetings held on 26 June 2024 and 25 June 2025, respectively.

The cancelled stock represented approximately 3.63% of the company’s issued shares (excluding treasury shares), directly reducing the total outstanding share count by the same proportion.

The board continues to be chaired by founder William Lei Ding, with Yong Li and Yanfeng Wang serving as executive directors; Yat Keung Li as non-executive director; and Ying Kit Caleb Lo, Xianfeng Gu, and Zhong Xu comprising the independent non-executive slate.
