Data released on January 20 by the Xinhua Oil Price System indicated that the average price change rate for a basket of crude oils was 1.92% on January 19.
According to the "Oil Price Management Measures," domestic gasoline and diesel prices are adjusted every 10 working days based on changes in international crude oil prices, with the new prices taking effect at 24:00 on the day of the announcement.
If the calculated price adjustment is less than 50 yuan per ton, no change will be made; the amount will instead be carried over to accumulate or offset against the next adjustment cycle.
The measures also stipulate that under specific special circumstances, price adjustments can be suspended, delayed, or implemented with a reduced magnitude.
January 20 marks the tenth working day of the current pricing cycle, meaning the price adjustment window opens at 24:00 today.
This cycle is expected to result in an increase for domestic gasoline and diesel prices, with an estimated rise of approximately 85 yuan per ton.
