Xiaomi's new-generation SU7 is set to launch this month. Some bloggers have described it as a "BBA 34C killer" and a breakthrough competitor to the Tesla Model 3. In response, Pan Jiutang, a partner at Xiaomi's industrial investment department, stated that the company does not aim to provoke rivalry. He emphasized that Xiaomi's automotive business is not targeting any specific competitor but is instead aligning with evolving trends and user needs.
However, Pan also shared that young consumers who previously frequently drove German-brand cars have chosen the Xiaomi YU7. After using it for several months, they have expressed high satisfaction. He noted that while older generations, having experienced scarcity, often hold strong attachments to traditional luxury brands, today's buyers prioritize product performance itself.
