Senior Leadership Change at $750 Billion Asset Manager, Ye Ming Promoted to President

On June 12, Shanghai Guotai Haitong Securities Asset Management Co., Ltd. announced a change in senior fund industry executives. The company's Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Ye Ming, has been promoted to President and Chief Financial Officer of Guotai Haitong Asset Management. Party Committee Secretary and Chairman Tao Geng will no longer serve concurrently as the company's President.

Ye Ming's professional background shows he joined the former Guotai Securities in July 1995 and moved to Guotai Junan Securities in July 1999, where he held positions including Deputy Manager of the Planning and Finance Department, Assistant General Manager of the Fund Settlement Headquarters, and Deputy Head of the Operations Center. Starting in August 2010, he joined the former Guotai Junan Asset Management, serving successively as Operations Director concurrently serving as General Manager of the Operations Department, Board Secretary, Acting Compliance Officer, Compliance Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Chief Financial Officer. He currently serves as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Guotai Haitong Asset Management.

In July 2025, Guotai Junan Asset Management and Haitong Asset Management initiated a merger, which was completed by the end of April 2026, marking the first case of securities firm asset management integration in China. Data shows that as of the end of 2025, Guotai Haitong Asset Management's client assets under management exceeded 750.6 billion yuan, with revenue surpassing 2.3 billion yuan.
