Stock Track | Tradeweb Markets Plunges 7.56% in Pre-market as Q2 Revenue Misses Expectations

Stock Track07-30

Tradeweb Markets Inc. shares tumbled 7.56% in pre-market trading after the electronic trading platform reported second-quarter revenue that fell short of analyst estimates, overshadowing an earnings beat.

The company posted Q2 revenue of $558.9 million, missing the consensus estimate of $562.4 million. While revenue grew approximately 8.9% year-over-year, it declined sharply from the $617.8 million recorded in the first quarter. CEO Billy Hult attributed the sequential slowdown to more normalized volatility compared to Q1, though he noted strong volume growth across the multi-asset platform.

On the positive side, adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.97, beating the $0.95 estimate. The company also raised its quarterly dividend by 16.7% and repurchased $188.9 million in shares, while maintaining its full-year 2026 adjusted expense guidance. However, the revenue miss and significant sequential decline appeared to weigh on investor sentiment, driving the stock lower in early trading.
