Autumn plowing begins a new chapter, and sowing brings hope for a bountiful harvest.

At present, during the critical period for rapeseed autumn sowing, Qingminghe Township is seizing the clear and favorable weather to vigorously promote mechanized direct seeding, safeguarding the bottom line of grain and oil production while tapping the potential of agritourism integration, sowing hope for increased production and income next year.

On October 12, in the fields of Shangzhengwan in Xingang Village, Qingminghe Township, agricultural machinery roared in a busy autumn sowing scene. A rapeseed rotary tillage, fertilization, and seeding integrated machine moved back and forth across the ridges, completing multiple procedures such as rotary tillage, ridging, fertilization, and seeding in one pass, greatly improving sowing efficiency.

General Manager Qi Airong of Hubei Shuohua Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. said, "We selected high-oleic rapeseed varieties that are suited to the local climate, with a high oil yield. The yield per mu can reach over 300 to 400 jin. We can harvest rapeseed for oil extraction, and when the flowers bloom next year, we can also develop sightseeing tourism."

The 300-mu rapeseed base in Shangzhengwan has already completed sowing on more than 200 mu, serving as a vivid microcosm of the township's autumn sowing production.

This year, Qingminghe Township has coordinated seed distribution, fertilizer scheduling, agricultural machinery support, and other tasks, organizing agricultural technicians to go deep into the fields to provide on-site technical guidance on land preparation, ditching, seeding, fertilization, and other steps.

The township has deployed a total of 150 units of various agricultural machinery and plans to plant 4,200 mu of rapeseed. The sowing progress has reached 85%, and all sowing tasks are expected to be completed before October 15.

While consolidating the foundation of grain and oil security, the township is leveraging rapeseed flower fields to create rural sightseeing landscapes, promoting agricultural efficiency and increasing farmers' incomes.
