Analysts from CryptoQuant have reported that the frequency of Bitcoin transactions is at its highest level since the beginning of 2024. This increase in transaction activity is occurring despite a continued outflow of capital from hedge funds invested in Bitcoin.
CryptoQuant noted, "This above-trend activity has persisted since late March 2026, diverging from the ongoing price weakness." However, the average size of these transactions remains significantly smaller than typical levels seen in previous years.
The firm stated, "Micro-transactions, those involving less than 0.01 Bitcoin, now constitute 80% of the total daily transaction volume, up from less than 50% in 2023. Transaction groups involving amounts below 0.001 Bitcoin and below 0.01 Bitcoin have both surged in 2026, approaching prior peaks seen in 2024."
Bitcoin's price rose by 2.5%, reaching $65,363.
