Fuel Prices Set for Adjustment Soon

Deep News17:21

The fuel price adjustment window on August 14 at 24:00 is now just three days away, as of August 11.

The current pricing cycle for refined oil products began on August 3, spanning a total of 10 working days. With seven of those days completed by August 11, three statistical days remain.

At the start of the cycle, expectations for a price cut grew steadily, with the reduction margin climbing higher. However, recent sharp rebounds in international crude oil prices have caused the expected reduction to shrink.

Current estimates suggest a decrease of 345 yuan per tonne for gasoline and 335 yuan per tonne for diesel. This translates to a drop of 0.28 yuan per liter for 92-octane gasoline, and a 0.29 yuan per liter reduction for 95-octane gasoline and 0-diesel.

If international oil prices remain elevated, the projected reduction could narrow further. However, it is worth noting that with several statistical days still remaining in the pricing cycle, variables remain. All final figures will be subject to the official announcement from the National Development and Reform Commission.
