Huaneng Power Announces RMB0.40 Final Dividend for FY-2025; Key Timetable Yet to Be Confirmed

Huaneng Power International, Inc. (Huaneng Power) declared a final cash dividend of RMB0.40 per share for the financial year ended 31 December 2025, according to the company’s latest filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 24 March 2026.

Shareholder approval, ex-dividend date, book-close period, record date and payment date will be announced in due course. The dividend will be converted into Hong Kong dollars at an exchange rate to be disclosed closer to the payment date and distributed through Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services Limited.

Withholding tax arrangements are as follows: • Non-resident individual H-shareholders who are Hong Kong or Macau residents—or residents of treaty countries with a 10% dividend tax rate—will have 10% tax withheld. • Non-resident individual shareholders from countries without treaties or with a 20% treaty rate will be subject to 20% withholding. • Non-resident enterprise shareholders, including shares held via nominees such as HKSCC, will incur a 10% withholding rate. • Northbound Trading investors will face a 10% withholding rate, with potential treaty-based refunds available upon application. • Southbound Trading investors will have 20% tax withheld; domestic securities investment funds are treated identically to individual investors.

The board currently comprises 19 directors, including executive, non-executive and independent non-executive members, underscoring governance oversight of the dividend proposal.
