At the 2026 APEC CEO Summit China Forum held on June 21, JD.com founder and Chairman Liu Qiangdong revealed the company's internal "Nirvana Plan."

This initiative is designed to provide technical training for the company's 700,000 logistics workers and other blue-collar employees to help them adapt to the impact of AI and technological advancement.

Liu Qiangdong stated that in the future, deliveries will be handled by robots, eliminating the need for human delivery personnel.

He simultaneously emphasized that JD.com will not allow these 700,000 employees to lose their jobs.

To this end, the company has partnered with 120 schools across the country to send staff for training, preparing them for future roles in maintaining and servicing the robotic delivery systems.
