WELLCELL H-NEW (02477) rose more than 5%. As of press time, the stock was up 5.38% to HKD 4.9, with a turnover of HKD 183 million. The increase follows the company's announcement of an artificial intelligence strategy upgrade. Leveraging its existing technical capabilities in ICT communication services, wireless network optimization, and the FoPay payment platform, the group has decided to extend its business into the computing power services sector within AI infrastructure. Specifically, the company plans to advance new business incubation in three key areas: a computing power rental platform; a computing power scheduling and optimization platform; and a Token aggregation Application Programming Interface (API). The company intends to establish a dedicated AI strategy task force and set up an independent business unit to drive these initiatives forward. According to business development needs, the company will gradually strengthen technical talent recruitment and ecosystem partnerships, while optimizing capital allocation based on project returns. The company will also establish a risk management mechanism during the business advancement process to standardize related services, achieve productization of computing power solutions, and complete pilot work for token services in the initial phase.
