Hongkou District Night Economy Alliance Established, Ruihong Xintiandi Community Officially Renamed

Deep News09-19

On September 19, the establishment ceremony of Hongkou District Night Economy Alliance and the renaming ceremony of Ruihong Xintiandi Community were held at Ruihong Tiandi Sun Palace. With the official establishment of the "Hongkou District Night Economy Alliance," the district's Commerce Commission, Culture and Tourism Bureau, Sports Bureau, Greening and City Appearance Bureau, Jiaxing Road Subdistrict, Changyuan Group, Shui On Xintiandi, Bingang Commercial Center, Magnolia Plaza, Guoke Center, and Heping Academy became the first batch of member units. This marks that Hongkou's night economy has officially entered a new stage of coordinated development driven by culture, tourism, commerce, sports, and exhibitions, gradually forming a nighttime consumption ecosystem with complementary characteristics between the north and south areas.

The head of Hongkou District Commerce Commission introduced that the district is following Shanghai's pace in building an international consumption center city, integrating multi-party resources from culture, tourism, commerce, sports, and exhibitions. The southern area focuses on "one river, one waterway, one road, and one district" as key regions to create nighttime popularity landmarks, while the northern area focuses on community commercial nightlife areas to enhance vitality. After the establishment of the night economy alliance, resources will be further integrated and coordinated efforts made to promote Hongkou's night economy toward branded, normalized, and internationalized development.

It is understood that since this year, Hongkou's night economy has shown vigorous vitality and innovative energy. Ruihong Moon Bay has created a "New Cultural Entertainment Night Scene" theme by aggregating merchants with cultural, entertainment, social gathering, and sports elements of nightlife, successfully attracting a large number of young customers, with merchant nighttime foot traffic increasing by 40%-80%. North Bund City leverages its rare waterfront landscape to host beach carnivals, launching nighttime band performances, pickleball courts, and specialty bars among diverse business formats, creating an "urban sunset vacation island." Sichuan North Road Bingang Commercial Center relies on venues like Spicy Comedy and RAYGAME theaters, extending nighttime operating hours to form a new "performance + consumption" model.

Notably, this summer G.E.M. held 12 consecutive concerts at Hongkou Football Stadium. Through free shuttle buses after the shows, Hongkou District guided audiences to nightlife destinations like Moon Bay and Jinchao Lane 8, completing Hongkou's first attempt at "performance night economy" and achieving a two-way convergence of "night culture" and "night consumption." In the future, the "Hongkou District Night Economy Alliance" will make this convergence a regular occurrence, focusing on major cultural, sports, and tourism IP leadership, implementing flexible regulatory concepts, and continuously enriching diverse nightlife business formats. The focus will be on enhancing the differentiated recognition of the night economy and building a "north-south responsive, complementary characteristics" nighttime consumption ecosystem.

For example, during the National Day holiday, Hongkou District will launch multiple nighttime themed activities under the theme of "Light and Shadow Night Economy": Jinchao Lane 8 Dunhuang Light and Shadow Show, North Bund Waterfront Dimensional Music Carnival, Ruihong Xintiandi Art Season, and Magnolia Plaza "Let's Sing Together" City Concert, fully demonstrating the diversity and vitality of Hongkou's night economy, converting activity hotspots "traffic" into Hongkou nighttime consumption "retention."

On the same day, Ruihong Tiandi was officially renamed Ruihong Xintiandi. It no longer merely refers to Ruihong's commercial functional sector but serves as the flagship of Shui On's regional central community paradigm, organically integrating four high-quality commercial areas: Sun Palace, Moon Bay, Star Hall, and Ruihong Square, as well as diverse ecosystems within the community such as Ruihong Enterprise World Grade A+ offices. The transformation shifts from function-oriented to people-oriented, presenting warm experiential scenarios that span day and night and encompass diverse lifestyles, creating a symbiotic community with both local belonging and regional influence, building diverse experiences from 7 AM to 2 AM "enjoying day and night," providing continuous and warm living, working, and leisure content for all age groups in the community.

According to the introduction, from September 19-21, "Art To Gather Xintiandi Art Season" will debut at Ruihong Xintiandi Community, launching multiple exclusive art activities and performances. From October 1-8, "Ether Bloom Growing Flower and Bird Market" will once again collaborate with Ruihong Xintiandi to create the "Ether Bloom Growing Moon Bay Flower Market - Mid-Autumn Fair."
