The Xianning Public Security Bureau, Xianning Market Supervision Administration, Xianning Postal Administration, and Xianning Tobacco Monopoly Bureau have jointly issued a public notice seeking information on illegal activities related to tobacco products. The initiative aims to comprehensively strengthen market supervision over the tobacco industry, combat tobacco-related illegal activities across the entire supply chain, safeguard national tax revenue, maintain stable market order, and protect public health.

The scope for submitting tips includes the following categories: 1. Illegal production, sale, import/export, transportation, or storage of counterfeit cigarettes, smuggled tobacco, and other tobacco monopoly products. 2. Illegal purchase, transportation, or storage of tobacco leaves or cut tobacco. 3. Illegal manufacturing, assembly, sale, import/export, transportation, or storage of specialized tobacco machinery. 4. Illegal printing, sale, or use of registered trademarks for cigarettes, cigars, and other tobacco products. 5. Exceeding legal limits for mailing or carrying tobacco products, tobacco leaves, e-cigarettes, e-liquids, or nicotine for e-cigarettes across regions. 6. Illegal activities involving e-cigarettes, heated tobacco products, empty tube cigarettes, smokeless tobacco products, and similar items. 7. Purchasing tobacco products such as cigarettes and cigars from unauthorized sources, or engaging in unlicensed transportation, wholesale, or retail activities. 8. Selling tobacco products or e-cigarettes to minors, or using online platforms for such sales. 9. Other tobacco-related violations specified by laws, regulations, or rules.

Rewards will be offered by the Tobacco Monopoly Bureau for verified tips regarding illegal tobacco activities. The amount and distribution of rewards will follow established standards and procedures based on the significance of the information provided.

Illegal tobacco products evade regulatory oversight, leading to significant loss of tax revenue for the state and posing risks to consumer safety due to the absence of quality control measures. Consumers and the public play a vital role in maintaining market order and are encouraged to reject illegal products such as counterfeit cigarettes, smuggled tobacco, empty tube cigarettes, and substandard e-cigarettes.

Individuals with relevant information are urged to report via the designated hotline. All tipsters' identities will be kept confidential, and rewards will be granted in accordance with regulations. Collaborative efforts are essential to foster a lawful, orderly, and fair tobacco market environment.
