On November 2, a financial frontline report stated that Bank of China Limited (ASX: 601988) held its third-quarter 2026 earnings briefing today.

Vice President and Board Secretary Liu Chenggang noted that Bank of China (ASX: 03988) has continuously strengthened asset quality management and control, steadily advanced the resolution of non-performing assets, and improved the quality and efficiency of collection and disposal. In the first three quarters of 2026, asset quality remained stable, with risk buffers reasonable and sufficient.

Liu Chenggang stated that in the next step, Bank of China will hold firm to the asset quality floor while doing a good job of both "controlling new additions" and "resolving existing stock," focusing on key business lines, key regions, key areas, and key clients, enhancing the ability to identify risks in advance, proactively manage them, and resolve them precisely, and maintaining full and prudent provisioning.
