According to the latest IDC Worldwide Quarterly Server Tracker report, the global server market revenue reached a record $112.4 billion in Q3 2025, surging 61% year-over-year with double-digit growth for consecutive quarters. LENOVO GROUP (00992) demonstrated robust performance, securing its position among the top three global server vendors with standout competitive metrics: a 26.1% YoY revenue growth—leading among industry giants—and tying with Inspur for third place, emerging as a key growth driver in the sector.
Amid intensifying competition, LENOVO's accelerated expansion stands out. IDC data reveals revenue declines for major players like Supermicro (-13.2% YoY), Inspur (-10.5% YoY), and HPE (-2.3% YoY), while LENOVO achieved 26.1% growth through AI server innovations and diversified product offerings. With $4.004 billion in revenue and a 3.6% market share, the company solidified its global top-three ranking.
Breakdown by server type: x86 server revenue grew 32.8% YoY to $76.3 billion, while non-x86 servers skyrocketed 192.7% to $36.2 billion. Embedded GPU servers, accounting for over half of total market revenue, expanded 49.4% YoY. Hyperscalers and cloud providers' rapid adoption of GPU servers propelled the market—global server revenue nearly doubled year-to-date at $314.2 billion for the first three quarters of 2025 versus 2024.
IDC forecasts sustained AI-driven growth as vendors report record orders and strong backlogs. Hyperscalers continue large-scale deployments requiring higher computing density, while emerging AI research/education projects further fuel expansion.
Regionally, the U.S. led with 79.1% YoY growth, driven by accelerated servers (+105.5%). Canada followed at 69.8%. China grew 37.6%, contributing nearly 20% of global revenue. APeJ (37.4%), EMEA (31.0%), and Japan (28.1%) posted robust double-digit gains, while Latin America lagged at 4.1%.
