May 1st Pricing Report: Blue-and-White Langton Leads Declines, Total Basket Price Hits One-Week Low

Deep News05-01

Data collected over the past 24 hours indicates that the average terminal retail prices for major Chinese baijiu products declined significantly on May 1st. The total price for a basket comprising one bottle of each major product fell to 9,923 yuan today, a sharp decrease of 26 yuan from the previous day, marking the lowest level in nearly a week. The market has exited its previous period of fluctuation, with cooling sentiment in terminal transactions and a clear pattern of broad-based declines evident.

Among the 11 major baijiu products tracked, two increased, eight decreased, and one remained unchanged, indicating a clear dominance of declining products. Among the gainers, Premium Moutai led with an increase of 5 yuan per bottle, showing a gradually rising price trend. Yanghe's Dream Blue M6+ rose by 3 yuan per bottle. On the downside, Blue-and-White Langton led the declines, dropping 8 yuan per bottle. It has fallen significantly for two consecutive days, breaching the 700 yuan mark and hitting its lowest point in nearly a month. Junpin Xijiu decreased by 7 yuan per bottle, reaching its lowest level in nearly half a month. Both Fenjiu 20 and Gujing Gongjiu 20 fell by 5 yuan per bottle, with the latter declining for three straight days and continuing to move rapidly away from its recent highs. Crystal Sword Nanchun dropped by 3 yuan per bottle, breaking below its previously slowly rising moving average. Flying Moutai, Wuliangye普五第八代, and Luzhou Laojiao 1573 each declined by 2 yuan per bottle. The price of Wuliangye 1618 remained unchanged from the previous day, demonstrating relative stability.

The daily data is sourced from approximately 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions nationwide. These points include, but are not limited to, brand-appointed distributors, independent distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw sample data consists of actual transaction prices for terminal retail sales processed at each point over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and fully traceable data on the market prices of renowned baijiu products. Following the official iMoutai platform's launch of Flying Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle at the start of the year (adjusted to 1,539 yuan per bottle on March 31) and the launch of Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle on January 9, the gravitational influence of this new channel on the average terminal retail prices of these two products has gradually become apparent. The daily pricing data follows a calculation rule weighted by real transaction volume, and the quantifiable prices from this new channel have been incorporated into the terminal retail price calculations for these two products.
