Strategy sells more bitcoin, stock to bolster cash stockpile
Michael Saylor’s Strategy spent another week revising the company’s capital structure by selling more Bitcoin and common shares to bolster its cash reserve.
The largest corporate holder of the digital asset on Monday said that in the seven days ended Aug. 9 it sold $108.6 million of Bitcoin, offloaded 6.6 million common shares worth around $653 million and repurchased $108.6 million of its Stretch, or STRC, preferred shares. Strategy owns about $58 billion in Bitcoin.
Bitcoin inflows hit four-month high as hack rattles holders
US-listed Bitcoin exchange-traded funds posted their strongest weekly inflows since April, in the wake of a hack that brought renewed focus on the risks of safeguarding digital assets.
The ETFs — which offer exposure to Bitcoin’s price without requiring investors to hold or secure the tokens themselves — attracted more than $850 million last week.
The surge in inflows followed the disclosure of a breach involving Coldcard wallets made by Canada-based Coinkite Inc., that drained an estimated $130 million of Bitcoin, prompting some analysts to suggest investors may be gravitating toward Wall Street’s regulated crypto wrappers.
Trump Media’s bitcoin holdings shrink as crypto losses hit $361 million
Trump Media and Technology Group's (DJT) bitcoin holdings shrank during the second quarter of the year as falling crypto prices saddled the Truth Social parent with $360.6 million in losses in the first half of the year.
The company held 9,477.16 bitcoin with a fair value of $557.1 million as of June 30, according to its quarterly filing Monday. That's down from 9,542.16 BTC at the end of March, translating to a 65 BTC decline in holdings through the quarter.
Trump Media's Crypto.com-linked cronos holdings remained unchanged at roughly 756.1 million tokens, but their fair value fell to $40.6 million from $68 million at the end of 2025.
Bitcoin & Ethereum Spot ETF Flow
The overall net outflow of the US Bitcoin spot ETF on Monday was $91.11 million. The total net asset value of Bitcoin spot ETFs is $78.94 billion, and the ETF net asset ratio (market value compared to total Bitcoin market value) is 2.36%.
The Bitcoin spot ETF with the highest net outflow on Aug 10 was Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, with a net outflow of $52.02 million, according to SoSoValue.
