Weiss Asset Management Reports USD 7.12 Million Derivative Trade Linked to Continental Aerospace Technologies Amid Delisting Proposal

Continental Aerospace Technologies Holding Limited (CON AERO TECH) has disclosed that Weiss Asset Management LP entered into a new derivative contract referencing 15.32 million shares on 26 August 2026. The contract, classified as “other types of products,” carries a reference price of USD 0.4650 per share and matures on 15 December 2026, resulting in a total consideration of USD 7.12 million.

Following the transaction, Weiss Asset Management’s resultant balance—aggregating its own position and those held by any related parties—stands at 812.71 million shares. The firm is regarded as a Class (6) associate of the offeree under the Hong Kong Code on Takeovers and Mergers because of its equity interest in Continental Aerospace Technologies. All dealings were executed on behalf of discretionary investment clients, and Weiss Asset Management is ultimately owned by Andrew Murray Weiss.

The disclosure was filed on 27 August 2026 under Rule 22 of the Takeovers Code, coinciding with Continental Aerospace Technologies’ proposed delisting process.
