Exclusive | POP MART Founder Meets LVMH Chairman at Paris Headquarters, Gifts Anniversary Edition Labubu Figure

Deep News09-05

In a recent exclusive development, POP MART founder Wang Ning met with LVMH Group Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault at the LVMH headquarters in Paris, France, marking their first-ever meeting. The atmosphere was relaxed and spirited, resembling a reunion of old friends, with Wang Ning presenting Arnault with a Labubu figure on the spot.

The gift was the MEGA LABUBU 10th Anniversary Edition, a globally limited release. Also present at the meeting were Delphine Arnault, CEO of Dior and daughter of the LVMH Group Chairman, along with Pietro Beccari, core executive and global CEO of LV.

Public records show a series of significant interactions leading up to this meeting: in October 2025, Kasing Lung, the creator of LABUBU, met with the LVMH patriarch; in December 2025, it was officially announced that LVMH Greater China President Wu Yue would serve as a non-executive director at POP MART; and in July 2026, Wang Ning led a core executive team to visit Apple Park in Silicon Valley, meeting with then-CEO Tim Cook and incoming CEO John Ternus.

Notably, at the POP MART 2026 shareholder meeting, Wang Ning remarked, "We are very honored to have Mr. Wu Yue serve as our director. From our perspective, the benchmark for consumer goods is the LVMH Group. They possess extensive experience across various areas, from global brand management and operations to exceptionally refined retail management. I believe there are many aspects worth learning from, rather than merely seeking collaborations. The most important thing is to absorb the core strategic thinking of top-tier brand enterprises, which is what truly matters."
