Leaders from the Shenzhen Aerospace Technology Innovation Institute, including Party Secretary and President Zang Wei, recently visited China Satellite Communications Co., Ltd. for a business exchange meeting. The meeting was chaired by Sun Jing, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Satcom, with Ma Haiquan, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager, and representatives from corporate development, research, the Satellite Application Innovation Institute, and the general office also in attendance.

Both sides presented their respective organizational profiles and development plans for the 15th Five-Year Plan period. They engaged in in-depth discussions on business models and development strategies related to commercial aerospace, satellite internet, and spacecraft tracking, telemetry, and control.

Zang Wei expressed that the institute, serving as a platform for technology transfer and industrial incubation under the Aerospace Hi-Tech Holding Group, is dedicated to promoting the application of aerospace technological achievements in commercial markets. Leveraging Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area's strengths in electronics, information technology, high-end manufacturing capabilities, scenario demands, venture capital ecosystems, and market-oriented mechanisms, the institute hopes to collaborate with China Satcom through various flexible approaches. Potential areas of cooperation include satellite communication hardware and terminals, scenario-based satellite applications, and commercial satellite tracking, telemetry, and operational services.

Sun Jing emphasized China Satcom's commitment to its core satellite communication business and ongoing efforts to advance satellite internet infrastructure. The company is focused on developing integrated sensing-communication-computing-application service platforms, expanding intelligent service scenarios, and enhancing network service quality and user experience. Under the group’s unified planning, Sun Jing expressed hope to collaborate with sister organizations, utilizing the institute’s expertise, to jointly organize teams, coordinate resources, and explore markets. Such cooperation would support the company’s international expansion and enhance the overall strength of the aerospace brand, contributing to industrial chain prosperity and the development of China’s aerospace capabilities.
