At the Intelligent Electric Vehicle Development High-Level Forum (2026), held from April 11 to 12 at the Beijing National Convention Center Phase II, ZEEKR Vehicle Research Institute President Xu Yun delivered a speech. The forum's theme focused on advancing the intelligent, green, integrated, and international development of new energy vehicles.
Xu Yun reported that the ZEEKR 9X has been the sales leader in the large SUV segment priced above 500,000 yuan for five consecutive months, with an average transaction price exceeding 530,000 yuan per vehicle. She highlighted that over 80% of ZEEKR 9X customers previously owned vehicles from traditional luxury brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, and Land Rover. "Customers have shown their recognition of ZEEKR's technical capabilities through their purchasing decisions," she stated.
Additionally, Xu Yun mentioned that the ZEEKR 9X is gaining significant popularity in overseas markets, where some customers are even offering to pay premiums for earlier delivery. These international buyers also include owners of luxury brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi, as well as some Rolls-Royce and Bentley users. "These individuals are enthusiasts and followers of cutting-edge automotive technology, and the 9X provides them with an entirely new product and powertrain experience," she explained.
According to Xu Yun, features such as the ZEEKR 9X's sliding screen and rotating seats offer an extraordinary experience for international customers. Combined with intelligent elements—including the smart cockpit, advanced driver-assistance systems, and intelligent powertrain and chassis—these innovations deliver an unprecedented driving encounter.
She expressed the view that not only ZEEKR but the entire Chinese new energy vehicle sector is gradually establishing unique competitive advantages through such forward-thinking experiences. These advanced technological features are becoming key differentiators for Chinese brands as they expand into global markets.
Looking ahead, Xu Yun emphasized that China's automotive industry has entered a new phase. In her opinion, for Chinese luxury car brands to genuinely compete on the global stage, they must rely on technological leadership and innovation to set standards and win market share—not simply compete on price.
"In this era of significant industry transformation, filled with both opportunities and challenges, ZEEKR's mission extends beyond exporting individual products. We aim to export innovative technologies, such as our super hybrid system, and strive to be a driver and leader in technological evolution," she concluded.
