On the news front, optical communication giant Coherent Corp released its fiscal fourth-quarter results for the period ending June 30, 2026. The report shows that surging demand for optical interconnects in AI data centers drove revenue acceleration and margin expansion, with the company's quarterly revenue hitting a record high of $2.05 billion. Coherent forecasts first-quarter fiscal revenue between $2.2 billion and $2.4 billion, and adjusted earnings per share of $1.85 to $2.05, both exceeding market expectations.
Wanlian Securities noted that the global AI computing infrastructure buildout is accelerating, sustaining high demand for optical interconnects both domestically and internationally. The 800G segment is ramping up rapidly, while 1.6T is gradually entering the mass deployment phase, with related order visibility continuing to improve. Key players are now entering the earnings realization phase. Domestic core companies, leveraging their advantages in technology, production capacity, and scaled delivery, are well-positioned to benefit from this wave of global AI infrastructure investment. The brokerage recommends focusing on sub-sectors such as high-speed optical modules, switches, and optical components.
